Georgy Zhzhenov was in Stalin’s camps and exile for more than 15 years and miraculously survived. This talented person had to work in the logging and gold mines, knee-deep in ice water 16 hours a day. Her acting life started burning again at 39 years old, and finished when he was already near 90. Freed in 1954, he lived with his wife in hostels until they are given a room in a communal apartment in Leningrad. There Zhzhenov was born a daughter, Mary. “It happened almost simultaneously with the purchase of the first machine, so the money was running out,” she recalls. Parents even the crib had to buy it, I slept in the suitcase that they came from the Arctic. As they say, both dreams came true: my mom wanted a baby, daddy’s car…”

I must say, led burning, even a helicopter! When he was invited to the role of a pilot in the movie “Wolf Island”, he refused to understudy, he took the helm, after taking a few lessons. His first car — “Victory” Georgy Stepanovich adored and called her “Ingrid Bergman” — in honor of the beloved actress. And it was this car in two years he stole. “Get out of the house — no car. I went to the bus stop, got to “Lenfilm”. There sat behind the stage make-up table next to Kesha Smoktunovsky (that year they appeared together in the film “the Night visitor”) and told him what happened. The whole day of shooting Kesha looked at me like I was something special, with suspicion. In the end I could not resist, came up: “what’s the matter?” And he said, “Well, I’m just amazed! Though a muscle twitched in your face! You have today the car was stolen. And you though that…”

Ironically, one of the most well-known roles Zhzhenov was the role of the inspector of GAI who catches the car thief Detochkin (Innokentii Smoktunovsky) in the Comedy Eldar Ryazanov’s “Beware of the car”. The Director recalled that a after the film asked you about the inspector: “He must be a real policeman, not an artist?”
