the opening of the 103rd Russian film market in Sochi was held in the style of “Sorochinskaya
fair” based on the eponymous novel by Nikolai Gogol. On
event guests came to the provincial market of the nineteenth century, who in
the work of the writer. The guests, among whom were many stars and the festival “Kinotavr”,
greeted with bagels, bagels and treats.

The film
“Gogol. The beginning” is set in the first half of the nineteenth century. Near village Dikanka Poltava happen
creepy and mysterious murder. To their investigation attracts the famous
investigator Yakov Petrovich Guro (Oleg Menshikov). A few days before departure
from the capital to a God-forsaken village, Guro meets a young clerk Nicholas
Gogol (Alexander Petrov), who helps him solve the murder of a noble
ladies. Intrigued by the strange fainting spells and visions Gogol, Yakov Petrovich
takes Nikolai a to Dikan’ka and, as time will show, not in vain…
