Behind the tale of “Big friendly giant”, the trailer of which we had the opportunity to see recently, Steven Spielberg has opted for a new job.

The Director is going to finally begin shooting the film, developing the ideas of which were conducted since 2008.

Drama called “the Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara” is based on real events. In 1858, in Bologna (Italy) the police took six-year-old Jewish boy from the family. He was raised as a Catholic, later Edgardo Mortara became a priest.

The main role in the film will perform mark of the Novella – actor, poluchivshij Oscar for again silbergasse film “Spy bridge.”

Now the Novella will turn into Pope Pius IX.

The author of the script will be already collaborated with Steven Tony Kushner (“Lincoln,” “Munich”).

The film, according to preliminary data, will start in early 2017.
