first picked up a brush and paint, and what came of it, Sophia said in
interview 7days.ru.
— In 2010 my
life has been a very difficult event, which I find it hard to remember —
told Kashtanova. — It was a serious shock, and worried I
for a long time. A friend advised me to try painting. No such experience
before I didn’t have, we can say in this matter, I was incompetent. But I started
to draw, began to receive enormous pleasure, I started
out. I wrote very different sorts of pictures. Out of this
depression and through art found a solution to their worries. Although painting from
I’ve had enough positive, bright.
— If the matter came before the solo exhibitions?
— Yes! My mom came from Mexico, where she lives in Moscow, looked
on the picture — by that time had accumulated about 30 — and said, “Let’s do
exhibition!” We arranged a kind of auction, and 25 paintings were sold out. So
my work was a success (laughs). Hopefully, I’ll get back to painting. Now
I just physically no time for it, a lot of shooting.
— Probably 10 years ago you would have dreamed
to have so little time.
— Of course. I’m happy that now all
the way it is. This is the greatest happiness for the artist — to be loaded and even rebooted.
It is very hard to feel unclaimed, I’ve been through it, and
of course, I wouldn’t wish anyone to go through this.

Back to the pictures: it turns out that
drew you to the soul, and that you can still make good money?
— It turns out that Yes. But I never
treat painting like a job. Rather, it is a hobby. And I am very pleased and valuable
there were those who appreciated it.
Sonia, besides that you’re doing
movie, you are still professionally sing, dance, do horseback riding,
draw… What else?Do not be surprised if in five years you happen to be
chemist.
— Yes, I’m also not surprised! (laughs) In fact, human
abilities and the possibilities are endless. I was always sure that I can’t
drawing: it turned out that can. I was absolutely sure that I can’t write,
it seemed to me that I can’t write anything, ever. And then I thought: “Sonia, why did you decide that you don’t
can? You can’t write? You dad was a screenwriter and writer. And you
try it.” And I have tried. Happened. Yes, the script will not yet
went, but I did it. The main thing — not to be afraid. Fears us very much
