The current visit to the Russian capital became for famous Director Quentin Tarantino’s second, but he still got a lot of impressions.
For the first time, Tarantino was in Moscow in 2004 he was presented at the Moscow International film festival his film “Kill bill-2”. Before the Director made a real tour of the sights and museums of the Kremlin – a special impression on the master made the Tsar cannon: “She looks very powerful, but the engine lying next to her, can not be placed in it!” – said Tarantino. The Tsar bell is also not left without attention – it Director rubbed for good luck. A tour for the stars was held personally by the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky – at the end of Medina gave Tarantino a volume of poems by Boris Pasternak.
Today, the Director and two producers of the film “Once upon a time in Hollywood” Shannon McIntosh and David Hayman, answered the questions of journalists at the press conference. In its course it became clear that the 9th Quentin will not be his last kinorabotoy, as previously reported – he is going to shoot a big film and it was after his release he will announce retirement: “I Have no specific ideas for the new movie, but I have a feeling her appearance. I want to make a superfilm, which would have reflected my previous work. Know this imaginary train of 10 wagons” – confessed celebrity.
Starring in the new film are played by actors Leonardo DiCaprio and brad pitt, which, unfortunately, are unable to come to the capital: “I have worked with them before, and we again get an incredible collaboration. Their characters fully immersed in their era of the late 60-ies, it affects them, they say what they think and behave, how to behave their heroes in those days. I love old Hollywood movies, and in this film I tried to convey the very atmosphere that so fascinated me in Hollywood when I was just a child. On set we used a minimum of computer graphics and specially built sets to look fairly as possible” – said the Director.
“In my childhood I often watched on TV the film “the amphibian Man”. He hasn’t released, he was immediately sold on TV, and then I didn’t even know he was Russian and was sure that this is an American movie. This picture I really like!” – said Quentin. From the press conference Tarantino went not with empty hands – one of the journalists gave the star of the comic book “Constantine. Guardian blockbuster”, saying that the Director is incredibly similar to the main character, looking at pictures in a book, Tarantino confirmed that there are similarities. Also, the Director presented a basket of cheese – appointment coincided with the upcoming cheese fair in Istra situated near Moscow. The film “… Hollywood” starts in all theaters tomorrow.
