In an interview with Prince William reporters asked whether he will be the best man for his brother Harry at the wedding of Meghan Markle. The veiled replied, claiming that the Prince did not ask him about it. Now the information is official: the groom best man will be his older brother, the closest of friends. The information was confirmed by representatives of Kensington Palace.

Early William talked about his relationship with his brother. According to Prince, they have Harry close and warm relationship. Especially they rallied experienced at a young age a tragedy — the death of Princess Diana in August 1997. “Our relationship became stronger and closer after my mom died. This loss happened when we were teenagers, and got us together to get through a difficult period… my friends always happens that one of them is on the rise when the other is on the descent. It is important to always be there to comfort a loved one,” says William.

Not so long ago Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, and Kensington Palace has released the date of their wedding, which will take place in may in St George’s chapel at Windsor castle.

“Windsor is a special place for Harry, and he and Megan had regularly been there for years. They are very excited to begin married life in this castle… Gala day is organized so that members of the public will be able to feel part of the celebration,” declared one of the representatives of Kensington Palace at the briefing.

It became known that the Royal family will pay the basic cost of the celebration, including the reception, food, flowers, decorations and Church services, and the taxpayers will pay for security. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are already listed in the list of honored guests, and as head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury, it is not yet known whether he will lead the Church ceremony.

Before the wedding, Meghan Markle would be baptized and receive British citizenship. Divorced parents of actress, Thomas Markle and Doria Raglan, will join the celebration, but does lead father of Megan to the altar.
