In the Olympic capital for many years held Russian festival
“Kinotavr”, where the summer traditionally attracts the stars of Russian cinema. But

Sochi International Film Festival “Irida” (First Sochi International Film
Awards —SIFA).
The co-chairs of the jury were national artist of Russia,

Grove — Director, writer, founder of film festivals Raindance Film Festival
and British Independent Film Awards. The fate of the prizes were decided by jury members from Georgia,
Russia, USA and UK.

December Sochi treat guests to good

Awards first film “iris” were distributed as follows: prize
for best cinematography was awarded to the film “Gozo” (directed by Miranda Bowen,
UK/Malta), best screenplay — film “Box” (directed by Eduard
Bordukov, Russia), male role — Dagon Omaev, Kakhi Kavsadze, who played in
the movie “Teli and Toli” (directed by Alexander Amirov, Russia/ Georgia), women’s
role — CECO Matsubara in the movie “the Rustle of leaves Yuzu” (directed by koji Kamizono,
Japan), for best Director — Vano Burduli, the film “the Summer of frozen fountains” (Russia/Georgia).
Special jury prize awarded to the film “the Deity Desuga” (Director Sergey
Potapov, Russia). Grand Prix of the festival — the film “the Box” (dir. Eduard Bordukov,
Russia).
“We were able to achieve the main goal — to contribute to
strengthening business and cultural ties between peoples. During the film festival
managed to create a special atmosphere of trust, promote joint projects
