In the Theatre of Nations presented awards in the field of contemporary art “Innovation-2018”.

Recently in the capital, the ceremony of awarding the prize “Innovation-2018”. In front of the guests and nominees of the ceremony were announced the winners of the seven competitive categories. “Educational
the project” received the award
Museum residence “Teenager+Museum”. Award in the category “Regional
the project” is honored with the exhibition “Back home” in the building of the former Museum
intellectuals in Nizhny Novgorod (Nizhny Novgorod), Artem Filatov. The prize in the nomination “book of the year:
theory and history of contemporary art”, organized jointly with the Foundation
“U-Art: You and art,” noted the publication “Action and meaning in art of the second
half of the twentieth century. Proceedings of IPSI. Volume III,” Stanislav Shuripa.

The winner in the nomination “New generation” became Kirill Savchenkov and the project Office of Sensitive Activities / Applications Group (Fund V-A-C together with the Moscow Museum of modern art). The award in the nomination “artist of the year” was Vladimir Logutov, presented at the center for contemporary art “Winery” the exhibition “Next level”. Winners in the nomination “Curator of the year” were Mary Kramar and Karen Sarkisov, who won the award for a multidisciplinary project “the inhuman Experiences of hospitality” (Fund V-A-C together with the Moscow Museum of modern art).

The prize in the nomination “project of the year” marked 4-I Ural industrial Biennale of contemporary art – the largest international project in the field of contemporary art. Winners: Alisa Prudnikova, Joan Ribas, Vladimir Seleznev, Svetlana Usoltseva, Dmitry Bezuglov, Dmitry Moskvin, Olga Komleva, Daria Malikova, Anna Litovsky, Leo Susariev, Zhenya Chaika. Also, the “Innovation” award was awarded in two competition categories: the award in the nomination “For contribution to the development of modern art of Russia” was Joseph Backstein, and prize winners in the nomination “For support to contemporary art of Russia” became the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin (the Foundation of Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin).

Special prize (a three-month internship in the Paris residence Citeinternationale des Arts) in the nomination “New generation” awarded by the French Institute and the Embassy of France in Russia with the support of Air France Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov for the project “preservation Instinct”.

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the award were presented in the format of an immersive session. If in 2017, the ceremony was held in the Moscow planetarium without leading, using full-dome graphics and robots, this year’s event is combining contemporary art and theatre in the genre evolving postdramatic performance. In 2018 the ceremony was held at the Theatre of Nations, inside of which visitors were offered “open theatre inside, in his head – that is where new ideas are born, where and originate any innovation.” The theme of the event was the time and appeal to my own experience and memory.

The ceremony was attended by artists, curators, critics, collectors and culture, as well as stars of show business: Dmitry Malikov, Artem Korolev, Polina Askeri, Pavel Artemyev, Ilya Bachurin and many others. And also the ceremony appeared Konstantin Kryukov with his wife Alina, which has been demonstrated to present an updated image.
