Karl Lagerfeld / Jacques de basher
Not subsided another wave of grief and condolences after the news of the death of 85-year-old Karl Lagerfeld, and the next topic of publications, of course, was the heritage and legacy of the iconic designer.
And although the will has not yet made public, the French press had it all figured out: there have been reports that the ashes of the Kaiser will be mixed with the ashes of Jacques de Basher, partner Lagerfeld, with whom he was together for 18 years — from 1971 until his death in 1989, when de basher at the age of 38 years died from AIDS.

During the life of the designer himself noted that he wanted to be cremated, and the ashes mixed with the ashes of his mother and his beloved cat, Choupette, in case she dies early. Pet survived his master (now it is called almost the main successor of Lagerfeld), but part of the ashes de Basher was buried with the ashes of his mother Lagerfeld Elizabeth Ballmann.
De basher was born in 1951 in Vietnam (his father had placed a public office — in those days the country was effectively under French control and fought for independence). After moving to Paris, de basher soon won a reputation as a bad boy and lover of decadent parties. With Lagerfeld he met at the age of 19 years (to Carl at the time was 38 years). Despite the fact that the designer said was instantly fascinated Jacques, the fact that physical contact has always denied — they never even lived together as a couple.

So, in one interview, Lagerfeld admitted:
I don’t like sleeping with people I really love. I don’t want to sleep with them because sex cannot last, but affection can last forever. I think it’s great.
It was reported that in parallel with Lagerfeld, de Basher was in a relationship with another famous designer Yves Saint Laurent. Pierre Berge later even claimed that Lagerfeld has used de Basher and specially “rigged” this novel is to destabilize the position of the fashion House Saint Laurent.
In 2017, in an interview with journalist Marie Ottavi, who wrote a book about Jacques de Basher, Lagerfeld said that its fun to love his partner, but the views on social life they had little in common.

I loved this boy. I was attracted to his physical charm,
