Singer Shakira and football player Gerard Piqué separated in June of this year.

45-year-old Colombian singer Shakira began dating 35-year-old defender of Barcelona and the Spanish national football team Gerard Pique in the spring of 2010. Then Pique took part in the filming of the video for Shakira's song “Waka Waka”, which became the anthem of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Moreover, the performer officially confirmed the relationship with the athlete exactly one year later, in the spring of 2011 – then Shakira published a joint photo with Pique on her social network page and left a sweet signature: “I present to you my sun.”

In the fall of 2012, it became known that the singer was expecting her first child – son Milan was born in January 2013, two years later the couple celebrated the birth of their son Sasha. Rumors about a split between lovers have been circulating for a long time – among the reasons were, among other things, betrayal by Piqué, but a direct separation happened this summer. Recently, Spanish publications reported that Shakira and Gerard have entered into a child custody agreement. Based on it, the sons of the couple will live permanently with their mother in Miami, but the move itself will take place only next year. Children will celebrate the next Christmas in Barcelona.

It is interesting that Piqué quite actively protested against his sons moving to the United States and even wanted to receive from his ex-wife an amount of almost 500 thousand euros, which would compensate the football player for flights to Miami to meet with the children. Nevertheless, the court still sided with Shakira. In a recent interview, the singer admitted that the last months were the biggest and most terrible test in her life for her, and it was not only about divorce, but also about the accusations against the star herself brought in Spain – she was suspected of tax evasion.
