According to Joseph Davidovich, the first time he came to St. Petersburg, then called Leningrad, in the 60th year. Before that he read a lot about this town, seen the movies and knew about the beauty, and heartily admired the Leningrad, its palaces and museums in the 60th year.
“Many years ago, this city gave me a beloved wife and mother in law. Petersburg so dear to me twice, and to speak I come here with great joy, the city is constantly improving, growing new areas, buildings,” – says the singer. 
Honorary citizen of Moscow has never wanted to move to the Northern capital. He’s loyal to his Motherland and always considered white-stone cultural center, and the family Kobzon lives in this city, ranging from children to grandchildren.
Kobzon did not want the city varied greatly. According to a famous singer, Petersburg should be kept in its original form – with magnificent architecture, palaces, parks and beautiful houses. However, there is in my favorite city Kobzon and cons. For example, Joseph Kobzon heard that the yards of the cultural capital need improvement.
“Still makes me sad the state of the cemetery, where are buried my wife’s family. It is very unkempt, but it is our ancestors, our people. I really want to solve this problem”, – said Joseph Kobzon.
