Yesterday around three in the afternoon on Mozhaisk highway capital bus rammed a crowd of people and entered the underpass. Among the victims was a mathematician Yuri Kalnishkan. He was going to go on the ill-fated bus at a meeting in SKOLKOVO.

41-year-old Yuri A. Kalnishkan graduated from mechanical-mathematical faculty of Moscow state University in 1998. Since 2003 scientist working at the faculty of computer science Royal halloweenstores College, University of London, where he received the degree of doctor of philosophy (Ph.D, to philosophy it has an indirect relationship, a degree can provide experts in all fields of knowledge). In parallel Kalnishkan conducts scientific activity at Moscow Institute of physics and technology. Interests Yuri are in the field of machine learning and theoretical aspects of prediction (including in the financial sector). Kalnishkan in the accident received injuries of moderate severity. After an accident, Yuri was taken in “sklif”. According to doctors, now to his life already threatens nothing.

We will remind, the bus, owned by Mostransavto, on Monday afternoon I drove to the underpass near the metro station “Slavic Boulevard”. In the accident five people died, 15 were injured. The injured was immediately taken to the Metropolitan hospital, some of the wounded were transported by helicopter.

Police almost immediately arrested and questioned the bus driver. Criminal case under two articles — “rendering services not meeting safety requirements” and “violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles”. At the emergency has arrived the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and head of the traffic police of the capital Victor Kovalenko.

“I was standing at the bus stop, wanted to drive a meter and a half, two. Removed the handbrake, and the bus I rushed. I couldn’t stop. No brake, no hand brake… I was standing on the landing, in the cabin there were three people, my departure was 15 minutes,” said the bus driver involved in an accident, – Viktor Tikhonov.
