Igor Vernik has become the leading auction, which presents works of the artist Katya Medvedeva. One of the brightest representatives of naive art in Russia was presented in Petrovsky Passage within the Open Art Festival “Chereshnevy Les”.

A special place among the works of the artist, executed in oil, acrylic, tempera and
other techniques (Katya combines a variety of materials, including velvet,
pearls and feathers), take a picture, dedicated to ballet. Medvedev
fell in love with this art twenty years ago, reading the memoirs
Maya Plisetskaya.

“I read the book and thought, “I — a village woman,
well, where I was the ballet?” But decided to try it. Found a sheet of sandpaper
of paper and on it drew a pastel work, which he called “My debut in
the ballet,” said Medvedev. And now celebrities who came to

with these paintings.

But soon the work of Katya Medvedeva have started to buy
collectors. Critics called the paintings of Katie “painting clean
naked soul”, and she says: “Happiness I’ve achieved art!”.

On
the exhibition was presented works of Katya Medvedeva out of ten
private collections created in the past few decades. Some of these works were sold at a charity auction. For many lots, the proceeds from the sale of which will be listed the young
wards of the charitable Fund “Galchonok”, developed this
struggle.
