In
Belarus started shooting a new large-scale project
NTV “Chernobyl”. This is the first serial feature
the film, restoring the historical chronology of events of the accident at
Chernobyl in 1986 and tells about the heroic routine
the liquidators of its consequences. Starring in the film performed
Hope Mikhalkov and Igor Petrenko.

Action
the series takes place from April to December 1986. Ukrainian
the division of the KGB becomes aware of the interest shown
foreign intelligence services to Chernobyl
a nuclear power plant. To locate on-site
Pripyat experienced CIA officer albert Lentz (Dmitry Ulyanov),
who is suspected of spying, arrives to the city the Lieutenant Colonel of the military
counterintelligence Andrei Nikolaev (Igor Petrenko).

“The idea of a film about Chernobyl appeared five years ago — says the Director of the project
Alexei Muradov. This multi-part film will tell the audience about
what happened and our story will span multiple
periods: a few hours before the explosion, the explosion itself, and a few months
later. We will show in sufficient detail what happened.
About human destiny in the first place. The project will be a lot
dramatic and tragic lines.”

Shooting
the series will be held in Belarus and will cover many cities: Minsk, Mozyr,
Khotimsk, Mogilev, Molodechno, Turets-Boyary and other cities located in the
the most different corners of Belarus.
The creators paid special attention to the choice of locations and found the place where
time seems to have stopped in the 80-ies. Viewers will travel to
Soviet times, when quiet life of a city forever changed
a terrible tragedy.
