Yesterday George Clooney arrived in Yerevan with an important mission – today the actor will present the first international humanitarian award Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, which will be awarded to people, saving the lives of others at great personal risk. Today Hollywood actor together with the founder award and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, honored the memory of victims of genocide in Armenia in 1915 and laid flowers on the memorial, which is located in the capital of the country. And yesterday, Clooney visited UWC Dilijan College in Dilijan, where he talked with the disciples.
As for the humanitarian award by the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity to be handed to George, it was organized by three philanthropists of Armenian origin, whose ancestors survived the genocide of 1915.
