The author of the cult novel “Sandro from Chegem” passed away last night.

According to media reports, the famous Russian poet and prose writer, Fazil Iskander died at the age of 87 years. As it became known, the incident occurred
last night. Fazil, being at home, suddenly felt ill
and lost consciousness. The ambulance arrived, unfortunately, nothing could
to help the writer. Iskander died surrounded by people close to him. That was
the reason for the death of the author of numerous works not yet reported. Later the family will announce where will be a farewell to the poet.

Fazil, fans of the writer has published online a huge amount of sad
reviews. Iskander remember, as the author of numerous works that have become classics of the literature of the late twentieth century. Among them are novel-epic “Sandro from Chegem” and the epic “Childhood years, as well as the story “beauty and the beast” and “Man and his surroundings”. This is only a small part of the literary heritage, which Fazil left behind.
