Jeremy Scott and Paris Jackson
Fashion week in new York continues, and the most notable show of the second day was the presentation of the spring summer collection of Jeremy Scott. On the podium was predictable bright and shocking, this is going Gigi Hadid, effectively closed yesterday showing Tom Ford, Coco Rocha, Kathleen Jenner, Paris Jackson and many other star fans of eclectic style.
Started his career with fashion Week in Paris, Scott 2001, presents his work in new York, and the spirit of this city, of course, its aesthetics closer than Paris. Frankly, jumper-cheeseburger probably would have appreciated in “Studio 54” era Andy Warhol than in the Louvre. Compare spring style Scott with the spring style Ford pointless, but overall the two designers is still there: both remain true to myself and my style for many years in conditions of constant storm warnings, hitting the international catwalks the hurricane named Demna Gvasalia, the Typhoon from Japan in the face of Junya Watanabe, even some natural disaster like impressions on the same VFiles fashion Week in new York.
The first reviews the collection immediately dubbed a rebel, but for Scott riot has already become routine. Designer, recognize that never threw anything away, and cherishes ideas of your own, then pulling them again and again to the podium. A combination of bright colors, stripes, stylized lettering from the comics, varnished love child jumpsuit and boots (deconstruction to a new level), variations on a theme of biker clothes (where the same rebel spirit without the elements of subculture), clothes, fashioned from scraps of worn-out jeans (sustainability, Jeremy’s looking at you), Pikachu on a pink sweater and your own photos in the form of prints.
I was inspired by their old photos 1996, where I experimented with makeup, hair and self identity
— said the designer.
What sort of work now without a political statement — on bow Scott came out in a t-shirt Tell Your Senator No on Kavanaugh, expressing protest against the policies of Donald trump against women and LGBT minorities.
The collection is reminiscent of the flash — turn on the visual stimulus, the eyes a little dazzled, but five minutes later it was already nothing like. To wear is not very desirable, and the quality of performance is not impressive.
