Fashion week in new York: Ashley Graham on the show, Christian Siriano autumn/winter 2019/2020

Shortly before the show Brandon Maxwell fashion Week in new York held a show of Christian Siriano. On the show Ashley Graham was not just the guests, and became the main star of the catwalk, closing the show in spectacular translucent dress. Among the guests was Tess Holliday, Christina Ricci and others.

Christian Siriano became famous thanks to participation in “Project Runway’s designer became the youngest winner of the fashion reality show (at the time he was 21). In the end, Siriano built a very successful brand, which is popular among stars.

In the new collection the designer has tried to associate the classic and futurism. Craving for kosmicheskim distances were observed even in the colors used — they are like Nathaniel was discharged from a sci-Fi novel: “Purple pulsar”, “the Blue comet”, “Eclipse Black”, “Cream spaceship”, “asteroid Grey” and “Silver supernova”. Well, the show itself was held at the last floor of the “Rockefeller center” — too close to heaven.

I think of futurism, and I have changed the question of what people think about it, what futurism means to everyone else? So I decided to imagine if we lived in a different world, how would we dress? What would inspire us?

Besides Ashley Graham, the fashion show was attended by other models plus-size: Siriano long been known that includes their impressions of the different characters.

These are our clients, these are women in this world. So I see no reason to not invite them. I think it’s very important to show all the facets of female beauty,
