The penultimate day of the show spring / summer collections at fashion Week in Milan closed the Missoni show. The Italian brand celebrates its 65th anniversary and the gala show, which was held under the open sky in the CityLife district, attended Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid.
The catwalk was held under the minimalist piano music of the composer Michael Nyman, famous for including working with the Director Peter Greenaway.
Collection re-interpreted the instantly recognisable style of Missoni — knitted items, zigzag patterns and easy hippie mood due to the combination of clothes of different colors. Elegance new creations gave the use of sequins and lurex. Layering combined with tailored shapes — accents on the waist, not obtrusive, but still important, be it a belt or a drawstring.
The show was closed Gigi Hadid, who also starred in the autumn-winter campaign of the brand, and the main accessories of steel knitted variations of a turban and a neck scarf — a good alternative to the banal silk analogues.
