Another famous fashion house refused fur – Prada joins other brands previously eliminating fur from their collections.
A huge step in the direction of humanism and ecological fashion has made the Italian fashion house Prada. The brand refuses to use fur in his collections, starting with collection spring-summer 2020 – it show will be held in September this year in Milan.
“Being part of the Prada Group Prada announced in cooperation with the world Alliance against fur (Fur Free Alliance), that he would no longer use animal fur in their models or new products, starting with the women’s collection spring-summer 2020”, – said in a statement. Among the reasons for this decision are called the recent studies in consumer demand – seven out of ten buyers agree to pay for clothes, shoes or handbags 10% more if they are created with consideration of environmental impact and impact on the environment, and respect the rights of workers in the production of this product.
The first designer who renounced fur, became Calvin Klein in 1994. A few years ago fashion brands Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Armani, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Furla and Chanel also refused not only from fur, but from the skin of exotic animals in their collections.
