The British Academy of film and television arts (BAFTA) Los Angeles celebrates the achievements of actors not only on screen but in real life. Any activities of the artists drew attention to themselves, especially if it’s unselfish and good deeds for the benefit of others.
So, recently scored a Brit Ewan McGregor. The actor is on a charity mission, visited Iraq, where he said he was ready to fight with horrific conditions in which there live children.
McGregor desire to help others became a reason to this year honoring actor BAFTA: “Ewan McGregor is not only the man of a thousand talents, and personality that was able to show by their example that one person can make a huge revolution in the lives of children. Given his recent mission in Iraq, stated willingness to deal with the horrific conditions in which there live children, he deserves this award more than anyone else”, — said the head of BAFTA Los Angeles Kieran Breen, referring to the volunteer work of the actor, in which he provided children in Iraq and Syria food and water and helped with the necessary medical care.
The BAFTA ceremony will take place on 28 October 2016.
Note that in this way Ewan McGregor joined the number of celebrities that have previously been awarded the “Prize for philanthropy”. Among them Idris Elba, Colin Firth, mark Ruffalo and Orlando bloom.
