In the talk show “to be or not to be” on channel TV-3, leading
which were Elena Lyadova and Kirill Pletnev, the audience and critics discuss
the pilots of new series. In the second edition of the program — on April 9 — it
will focus on the crime drama “Close”.
The project was represented by a team consisting of a Director of Peter
Buslov (“Boomer”, “homeland”), screenwriter Kim Belov (“Goldeneye”) and operator
Alexander Simonov (“Ray”, “Morphine”, “Cargo 200”). The protagonist of the series – “the Pope” criminal
groupings numbering fifteen hundred persons, and the father of a large family, in
which fearless authority is very difficult. His wife has him under the thumb, and the children
absolutely do not support the father in his deeds and no one is going to inherit
Empire.

Elena Lyadova at this time showed a very active participation in

Belov comic story, completely rewrote the script already on the set
site. And Vdovichenkov got unexpectedly deep and human role
in this drama.
“I liked the radically different view of character from
the criminal world,— said Vladimir Vdovichenkov. — I wanted to be that
character, because I played a completely different role.”
