In Crimea finished shooting a historical series
“A. L. J. I. R.” for NTV. Serial drama tells about one of the most
harsh Stalinist women’s camps that existed in the USSR — Akmola camp
wives of traitors of the Motherland.

The Director of the project made by Alexander Kasatkin, the main role
in the series played Ekamasova Daria, Ekaterina Guseva, Kirill Pletnev.

The drama heroines became the wives of A. L. Z. I. R. a — wife
former party workers and thieves, women of the upper classes and
village women, nuns, and women of easy virtue, forced side
side to serve his sentence in a labor camp.

The story covers the period from 1938 to 1945. In the center
plot: the wife of aircraft designer Olga Pavlova (Daria Ekamasova), arrested as
a family member of a traitor, and Sophia Ter-Asaturov (Ekaterina Guseva) – an outstanding
Opera singer, arrested on the denunciation. Together the heroines will have to fight not
only with the hardships of a prisoner of life, but also with the intrigues within the female colony.

“I was first in film expeditions for so long, confessed
Daria Ekamasova. — Usually the weekend always go to Moscow. And here
especially not back in society for almost three months. I wanted to unlearn
“want to be beautiful, to be pure city”. Women, about whom we shot
this film, lived in terrible conditions. They had no comfort zone. Was just
“The zone”. We did a film about the brutal regime of 1937-1945. Mode which
destroyed entire families, dehumanized people and wiped out their entire lives. And all this through
the prism of women’s lives. I really hope that we have succeeded”.
