French fashion designer and founder of fashion house Givenchy, Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy died at 92 years old.

According to relatives of Givenchy, the legendary designer died last Saturday at home in her sleep. “Monsieur Givenchy died in his sleep on 10 March 2018. His nephews and nieces and their children shared the pain,” — said in a statement Givenchy, fashion designer Philip Vienna, who added that the funeral of Hubert will be held in a narrow range.

Marquis Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy was born on 21 February 1927 in Beauvais. Before the Second world war, he studied in Paris at the école des Beaux arts. When German troops entered the capital of France, Hubert left the city. He returned to Paris after the war.

When Hubert de Giovani was 25 years old, he founded his fashion house in 1952 and left in 1995, sold it for seven years before the holding company LVMH.
