Leonid Nevedomsky was 78 years old. The man died in St. Petersburg after a long battle with a serious illness. The artist has played about a hundred roles in movies and worked a lot in theatre.

In the official appeal it is reported that the actor for a long time struggled with a serious disease. Despite this, he still continued to work in film and theatre.

“This is a huge loss not only for relatives and friends of the artist, but for the entire collective of the theater for the audience who loved him and friends at the scene that belonged to Leonid Vitalyevich with the same warmth and great respect. The talent of the artist has graced the stage of our theater more than fifty years”, – said the representatives of the theater.

According to them, the man had to seek help from doctors, but he was not discouraged and continued to work. In particular, the actor was involved in several productions. He Nevedomsky in a rare interview admitted that work is his primary inspiration.

Representatives of the theatre noted that even in the most difficult periods Leonid Dolgopolov continued to go on stage and participate in two performances.

Leonid Nevedomsky started to play a movie back in the mid 60-ies. For many decades he played many prominent roles. So, viewers fell in love with his characters from the film “Stepmom”, “Return Budulai”, the characters from the TV series “deadly force” and “Empire under attack”.

In recent years Nevedomsky became rarely appear on big and small screens. His last film role dates back to 2010.

For merits before the Fatherland the man was awarded the order of the II degree. In 1994 he was awarded the title of people’s artist of Russia.
