Singer, composer, songwriter Marie Fredriksson died after a long battle with a serious illness.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of one of our favorite artists. Marie Fredriksson died on the morning of December 9 in his own apartment after a long illness” – said in a press release Manager Roxette Marie Dimberg. Brain cancer the star was diagnosed in 2002, she underwent several surgeries, courses of radiation and chemotherapy. Three years later, it was announced that the cancer was gone and she returned to the stage. Later, however, Fredriksson had to abandon the tour at the insistence of the doctors, did not take place and a world tour to mark the 30th anniversary of Roxette in 2016. Western media reported that the cancer really never pursued the singer, however, the disease probably managed to have a detrimental impact on her health in recent years, Marie almost lost feeling in his legs, she didn’t see in one eye. The star is survived by two children.
