41-year-old DAX Shepard, star of TV series “Parents” (Parenthood) — frankly told that the child was the victim of sexual violence.

At a radio station, the actor admitted that at the age of seven to him hit on 18-year-old neighbor:

There were no horrors, about which usually talk in these situations. But for 12 years I could not muster the courage to tell somebody about it. I had all sorts of crazy thoughts. I then thought it was my fault. And another thought was this: “I’m gay. I have to hide it because I am a latent gay”.

In an earlier interview, the actor also reported that repeatedly subjected to sexual abuse by the father.

Dex long struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. In the show he thanked his mother, who once called him to talk about interesting statistics: women at the workshop learned that he who in his youth had experienced violence, in 80 percent of cases becomes a drug addict.

I then thought, “Hmm, interesting”. Because it seemed to me then that I’m a fucking time. But when you hear about statistics like this, my head immediately: “Oh, no, because I can become a true addict

says Shepard.

I just liked to do stuff: to drink, use light and heavy drugs, diet pills, pain — everything. But the preference I gave to whiskey and cocaine

– admits the actor.

Past Dacks for a long time bothered his current wife Kristen bell. In 2004, Shepard got rid of his addiction and gave up his hard-living lifestyle, and in 2007 met Kristen.

Kristen is a good girl. What I have done in the past, just terrifies her. And she almost didn’t believe that I will marry her and put up with monogamy, paternity and other such things. First year and a half of our relationship we were fighting every week

— said the actor.
