About his creative path and more the singer told in an extensive interview
What was your childhood like?
I was born and raised in my hometown – Rio de Janeiro. In my childhood I played a lot on the street. Was a Tomboy who had more friends among boys than girls. Loved to climb trees, mountains (we have lots of high hills and mountains in the city). Dragged mango trees of the neighbors, and of course lots of swimming in the ocean. At first I wanted to be a psychologist or a veterinarian (I love animals) when I began to dance and later performing on stage as a singer at the age of 7 years. Since leaving school I have changed a lot. Was just happy that ended school, because by this point my whole life was a stage and performances.
When was the first time I performed in front of a large audience in the Mall and the first time you tried ice cream banana split. I grew up in an ordinary family, so ice cream was also memorable.
What started your interest in music?
I was a very active child who danced and sang always and everywhere (on the bus, in the Bank, mom’s work, in queues, on the street). My mother gave me to the dance, where our teacher heard me the ability to vocals, and I started learning songs and performing. Once I saw on the street homeless children and very impressed, he recorded his first song, dedicated to this acute social problem in Rio. With Songs Alenda (it was a Duo of a brother and sister my age 7-8 years, which were very popular in Brazil), which I loved and inspired my performance on stage.
What are you most fascinated in the creative process? How born the idea of creating new songs?
Participate in all stages of the development of music and style. What I missed earlier. For many years I was in search of himself and sang often, what I didn’t like. Over time, after depression and the creative pause, I started to analyze myself and asked the question: “Who am I, and what I like to sing?”. When answering this question, I felt much better, I felt a new source of energy to make new music that is close to my heart. I decided to do everything myself, not listening to other people.
Soon will be released my New song and music video for “Nutella”, which is what I so long lacked. Happiness, dancing, joy, sun and bright colors, as I have at home.
How long is recording a song in the Studio? And how important is the emotional state in this moment?
When the proper mood and emotional state, the track record is 2-3 hours. If not in the mood or the right attitude, it is better not to write anything down, as the track record may take a few days, and I’m still not satisfied with the result. So the mood and pleasure from what you write – for me the most important!
