He was 80 years old. This sad news was announced by Director General of the Bolshoi theatre Vladimir urin.

The man said that Sotkilava for a long time tried to conquer cancer.

“Died Zurab Lavrentievich Sotkilava, a great actor of the Bolshoi theatre. He had a severe illness which he fought until the end,” said urin.

In late summer, the media reported about the deterioration of the artist, with the result that he had to cancel his performances.
