Today I have rarely seen the interiors done according to the classical canons of lush Baroque style. He is characterized by the abundance of fanciful details, the splendor, the grandeur and curved shapes.
Together with the designer Irina Fefelove understand the example project, can you create an interior in the classical style of the 16th century in the usual city apartment.
The splendor of the decoration
At the entrance to the apartment, where everything is made in the Baroque style, the first look at what falls is a rich, luxurious decoration of the walls, ceiling and floor. Before you begin the project design in the Baroque style, consider whether you are ready to seriously invest in the ceilings, decorated with paintings, tapestries on the walls, eaves gold-plated, mirrors from floor to ceiling, parquet or marble floor.
In order not to overdo it with the decor, better to choose a few types of details.
Furniture with gilding
Currently in the elite salons you can find furniture for kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, made of dark wood, carved with gilded or bronze plates.
If you are looking for a luxury, it is possible to combine modern elements with Baroque style, purchase chairs, sofas, imitating Baroque.
A lot of light
In the Baroque interior should be a few different types of lighting. Fanciful chandeliers, wall lamps, covered with gold and silver, do not forget also about the candelabra with real candles or electric lamps.
Color solutions
Walls, curtains, upholstery can be made in luxurious black, purple, Burgundy, chocolate tones that blend harmoniously with gold and silver.
That was not busting with color scheme, choose two basic colors and stick to them.
The richness in detail
Quality interior in the Baroque style can be no doubt about the choice of decorative elements. Statuettes made of bronze and porcelain, of course, expensive vases, original paintings. If you want to make a mixed interior, you can choose the cheaper furniture that will be able to beat the Baroque style. But on such things as textiles and mirrors, it is better not to save.
Modern interior with Baroque elements is not so pretentious as its historical style. Applying in the interior of a few details, you will be able to create lightweight, stylish, lush and festive interior, do not overdo it with the decor.
If you appreciate classics, luxury and elegance, the Baroque — for you!
