The famous Opera singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky died in November 2017. For six months his wife Florence Illy remained silent, refraining from interviews. However, for the program “Andrey Malakhov. Live” on TV channel “Russia 1” the widow of the artist made an exception and openly talked about the relationship with her husband and the last years of his life.

Hvorostovsky bravely struggled with a brain tumor. The doctors tried to do everything possible to rescue the performer. Millions of fans Dmitry from different countries supported the singer and prayed for his health.

“We’ve learned about the diagnosis. Shock is not the word. I thought it might be a mistake. Our very good friends advised a good surgeon in America. We went there this profit Jun 2015, did a biopsy. Then waited five days,” recalls Florence.

Dmitry changed in appearance, but for his wife he was always the best. “A strong man, he wanted and loved to live,” shared Florence. The woman still could not believe that my husband died. Dmitry continues her dream.

“Everyone says: “He became your guardian angel”. Maybe. But if a person is physically not here with me, I do not really helps,” said Florence.
