Moscow, November 23, 2017, the State Tretyakov gallery and the Internet-cinema tvzavr received the Runet Prize in 2017 the nomination “State and society”. A joint project “a Preview of Saturday at the Tretyakov gallery,” was awarded the highest award “for contribution to the promotion of auteur cinema in Russia in the online and offline environment and the development of international and intercultural relations.” A commemorative award of the Prize and diploma of the contest were awarded at the solemn ceremony in “the Digital business space.”
Film project in the Gallery “Preview of Saturday in the Tretyakov gallery” — a series of exclusive screenings of Russian and international films-winners of international film festivals for several months before they are released in wide release. The project is a successful example of the involvement of online audience online, thereby developing new areas of cooperation between the film industry and government cultural institutions in promoting film art. Thanks to the cooperation of the Internet-cinema tvzavr and the State Tretyakov gallery, the Russian Internet users have gained exclusive access to the best works of international film festivals.
The screenings provided by the Internet-cinema tvzavr, held in the cinema hall of the Tretyakov gallery in the Engineering building, which opened earlier this summer. The first “preview” screening as part of the project took place 16 of September: the audience enthusiastically greeted the premiere of the movie “As Vic the Garlic was carrying Vaska Pin in a nursing home” by Russian Director, a graduate of the all-Russian state Institute of cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (VGIK), Alexander hunt.
Also was shown such films as “Network,” Kim Ki Duka, the “Three sisters” Yury Grymov, “Sami blood” Amanda Kurnell, “the Machinations. The last scene of Pasolini’s” David Greco and “the Young Godard” Michel Hazanavicius.
It is important to note that the project “a Preview of Saturday in the Tretyakov gallery” is intended to introduce sophisticated audience of the capital with exclusive masterpieces of world cinema and provide viewers access collection of original paintings in the Runet with the help of Internet cinema tvzavr. In the Tretyakov gallery also emphasize the exclusivity of the cooperation with tvzavr and noted that a similar project in Museum practice in Russia held for the first time
In the framework of the “pre-premiere Saturday at the Tretyakov gallery” was only shown 7 paintings-winners of international film festivals. After the screening of Russian films was organized meetings with Directors, producers and famous actors in the format of Public Talk. During these encounters, the audience became active participants in discussions on a variety of fascinating themes of Russian and international cinema.

The project was accompanied by large-scale integrated communication campaign developed by the Department of marketing and PR Internet-cinema tvzavr. In furtherance of the project, there was obtained about 65 million contact with the audience at the Federal and regional levels.
The number of spectators exceeded 2,800, and the number of views of paintings of the genre “author’s cinema” in the Internet – cinema tvzavr increased by 20%.

The project will run until the end of the year. Already known the following picture pre-premiere show in the Tretyakov gallery — December 2 “On the other side of hope” (fin. Toivon tuolla puolen) — Comedy film-drama from Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismaki.
