Legendary rock band Depeche Mode landed in Russia. Yesterday they held a concert in St. Petersburg, and on July 15, the rockers will perform in Moscow. In the Northern capital, the musicians arrived several days before the performance to not only break from the world tour, but to walk around the city. Vocalist Dave Gahan and the rest of the band members love to have a ride on boats on rivers and canals, visited several clubs and talked to the fans, who were on duty at the hotel.

At the Depeche Mode concert presented the novelty of the Spirit, which they released this spring. Earlier media wrote that the songs from the album protesting against the elections of the President of the United States. According to some, the disk is considered to be the darkest of all 14 albums Depeche Mode. Some experts saw in Spirit a direct call for revolution in the hearts and minds of the enlightened Western world community. Think they gave the song Where’s the Revolution. Musicians were silent, thereby implying that everyone should understand their creative impulses.

“I would like our music to reflect the emotions that we experience in the moment of life. Humanity is growing and changing – while it is impossible to say, for better or worse, they just become different,” Gahan said in an interview.

The Gahan in the band now special attention. In 2009, on the road he suddenly felt ill and went to hospital, where he put a disappointing diagnosis – Oncology. After he underwent several courses of chemotherapy. Many fans then were nervous and believed that his days were numbered, but he got out and, it seems, is not going to retire. At least, as lean and taut Dave danced on stage at the JCC “St. Petersburg” for a long time no one danced. His moves wowed the crowd as the hits Walking in my shoes and Enjoy the silence.

A two-hour concert ended with a rendition of the song Heroes of the late David Bowie and driving Personal Jesus – the main hit team.
