In the family of Alexander and Catherine Strizhenova have a tradition: every autumn in the company of friends, they go for mushrooms and berries in the Tver region. This year, the cheerful company rented a boat and went to one of the Islands on the Volga near Konakovo.

Travelled around the island on Quad bikes, it helped to call such distances that walk would get difficult. But even despite this, the “catch” was not very rich.

“This year the mushrooms are much smaller than in the past, — says Ekaterina. — Then we took the whites only, ignoring the rest, and gathered a basket of boletus, honey agaric and butter”.

Alexander and Catherine are avid mushroom hunters. Mushrooms they immediately on arrival home was cleaned and prepared for the winter: something pickled, and some hung to dry. And, of course, left some of the mushrooms for frying.
