Stas Mikhailov is now not only one of the most popularly favorite artists on the Russian stage, but also the restaurateur. The other day a famous singer opened in St. Petersburg a restaurant with the picturesque name “Kommunalka”, arranging about the launch of this project a party in the style of the house spirit.

Among the first new restaurant visited friends Mikhailova from St. Petersburg and from Moscow. At the opening of the “Communal” came Olga Orlova, Yulia Baranovskaya, Regina a background Fleming, Emma Salimova, Polina Filonenko, Inna Zhirkov, Andrey Urgant with his wife Lena Romanova, Igor Gulyaev, after his own concert arrived Michael Turetsky.

The opening night was really friendly and held in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Guests danced, actively participated in competitions, wore a pioneer tie – a constant symbol of the Soviet era – and listened to beloved by several generations of old songs.

“The festival was a success primarily because of its atmosphere: warm and cozy, which is only visiting her best friends – says about the opening of Stas Mikhailov. – Including through sounding music – beautiful good old Soviet songs. I really like this music, it’s a real immersion into the past, this is what people miss. Such music will sound, the “Communal” and more”.

Wife of Stas Mikhailov Inna also noted a homely atmosphere, which imbued the guests and spoke about that guest were able to try almost all the dishes from the menu of a new restaurant.

“We received a lot of compliments regarding the food, – said Inna Mikhailova. – Aspic, pike caviar, khachapuri, kebabs, salmon steaks, homemade burgers and many other good friends and long-time favorite dishes – I wanted to try everything at least a little, and, as our friends, the chef tried their best”.

Apparently, the opening night of the restaurant guests really loved. In social networks they shared fun shots from the party, photos of the interior and wrote “the hero of the occasion” comments with thanks for the occasion. “Look, dear Stas! Great evening, thank you!” – these comments were left in the “Instagram” friends Mikhailov, attended the opening.

The style of “Communal” – restaurant network in which Stas Mikhailov is planning to open in the future about 50 establishments, fully designed in the spirit of the Soviet era. This is manifested in everything from menu design, to the stylized the newspaper “Evening Leningrad”, from the dishes and tableware (drinks, for example, served in glasses with coasters) to the smallest interior details.

Lots of cozy retro knick-knacks such as vinyl turntables, decanters and radios, portraits of stars of past eras on the walls, naked bulbs, such as those that can be seen in communal kitchens, Soviet films on the screens and a whole library of Soviet books surround visitors in the restaurant. By the way, Stas himself thought through the concept of the interior, knowing how the real communal living: at a press conference dedicated to the opening of the restaurant, the perpetrator admitted to journalists that was in his life the period of residence in a communal apartment.

The menu combines dishes of different Nations as well as respected diverse culinary traditions in the kitchens of communal apartments. And the cuisine here is so homely that many guests will certainly evoke the days of childhood and youth spent in the Soviet years.

Stas Mikhailov says that he discovered “Communal” as a school, which will receive their families: soon the restaurant will be a large kids ‘ club, which will occupy two floors. In the nearest plans – opening of summer veranda where you can dine outdoors, spend time in the company of friends, gathered around a hookah, and just enjoy the good weather and delicious food at the same time.
