“First of all, this is a film about love, — says Director Dmitry Cherkasov. — When I got the script for “Free certificates”, I realized that
I am very interested. To remove this emotional story of a girl, lost in
the atmosphere of the Russia of the early 19th century… we have absolutely
deliberately turned anti-mainstream. Slow presentation is amazing
script, a visual feast of the camera and light, strict direction without flirting on modern film language”.

For the filmmakers it was important to recreate the historical atmosphere of Russia 19
century. Has done a great job with documents for the study of old drawings
paintings and other artifacts created by more than 300 costumes for the main characters and
actors of crowd scenes and built numerous sets. Costume
Elena Bryansk, says: “We worked through in detail everything we could. For example, the buttons on
uniforms of the us was specially cast in Saint-Petersburg, so as to find the “right”
buttons of the era of Nicholas the First, where the eagle descended with the wings was impossible. In addition, we selected materials

As said the creators of the series, the shooting took place
in Moscow and the Moscow region, Torzhok and Tver region.The film was shot in old estates
and other surviving historic places. Also many interior objects have been
built in the halls. As for the streets of St. Petersburg of that time
this task the filmmakers decided in the form of a combination of scenes recorded on
decorated streets of old Torzhok in the unique natural scenery on
“Mosfilm”.

Starring in the TV series in addition to Babenkova busy young actors Artem Krylov, Vladislav Abashin, Ivan Dobronravov, Ksenia Razina. The film will feature romances Veronica Valley. And the music for the film was written by a famous composer
