Премию «Сезар» бойкотируют из-за Романа Полански

French feminists are calling for a boycott 42ю film award “Cesar” due to the fact that in this year’s presidential event was chosen by the Polish Director Roman Polanski, who has for many years accused of raping a minor.

As informs edition The Guardian, the event is scheduled for February 24, 2017, but the wave is likely that the date can change due to boiling or companies will have to change the President of the national film awards.
“We can’t accept the fact that insulted the victims of violence by the Roman Polanski film the President. He is a good Director, but he remains a criminal, and so his work is nothing compared to the crime which he has committed” — said Claire Serre-Combe.
Recall that Roman Polanski, who gave the world the film “the Pianist,” “rosemary’s Baby”, “dance of the Vampires” and others, was convicted of statutory rape in 1977 in the United States of America. According to prosecutors, the novel was given a drugged thirteen-year-old Samantha Gamer champagne with drugs and raped her. In the same year, Polanski pleaded guilty and agreed to a psychiatric examination, but without waiting for the final verdict, fled the country. Roman was told that the judge plans to close eyes to his cooperation with the police and put him behind bars for a long time. For American justice for forty years, the novel remains a criminal, because the flight of the offender removes the principle of limitation of the crime.
