Actress Priyanka Chopra is now quite popular in Hollywood.

But in a recent interview Priyanka said that it was not always so. She was denied roles because of her skin color. Because of racial discrimination she barely managed to find a job.

“I couldn’t understand that I need to be more sophisticated, to get in shape or what? What does this “physiology”? Then my agent said, “I Think they want to see someone not “red”. I well remember these words,” says the actress.

According to Chopra, she was also subjected to discrimination based on gender, when the Director told her that she will receive less than male colleagues.
