Maria, the movie “I love you d?” shot in a new genre. What?
For the first time in the history of cinema has been taken verses of different years, which have completely replaced all the dialogue of the characters. History knows the first poem, for example, “Romeo and Juliet”, “hussar ballad”, but they removed originally written poems. For the film, which takes place in our time, I wrote the script, dialogues and instead put the lyrics of Edward Asadov, written in the 50-80-ies of the last century. They talk of actors as normal speech. —
How did you select the actors?
This was done by producer Nina Volodina, and I was watching whether they are suitable for the role from the position of Director and screenwriter. I have my own principle, I am not satisfied with the casting, which all the actors are great stress. They are so eager to please the Director, I begin to replay. I like to meet with candidates in a quiet cafe and a Cup of coffee to talk about everything. While chatting see facial expressions, appreciate the opportunity to voice and understand whether to take it to the project.

You have played a major role…
This is the third film of our production company “Northern lights”. In all the pictures I play a major role, and is also a Director and screenwriter. Of course, it’s easier for me than other actors.—
Did the actors changes in the script?
No, they play what was written by the writer, and give the emotions that asks the Director. In other films of possible improvisations in the dialogues, but we had the verses, lines and words which can not be changed.—
How was it to work with Anatoly Bely, Andrey Chadov, Maria Berseneva?
All the actors who starred in the movie “I love you will, can you?”, very talented and professionals, and yet at first, I think it was difficult for them. They read the script, understand my idea of the Director not to recite, and to pronounce the verses, but they have never done before and at school, and the theater Institute taught them differently. Someone quickly grabbed intonation, someone had to work a little longer, but most importantly everyone had an interest in the eyes, passion and a great desire. Each day I started with the words that we are standing in the way of opening a new genre in the history of world cinema, and they have a fighting spirit. —
You and Anatoly Bely played lovers. How difficult was it?

What was the hardest part while filming?
Not able to allocate something. But I will note that every scene involves a lot of takes, because the operator needs to remove large, middle and General plan. Just happens when you all fly on one wave and the work goes on, and sometimes that process is difficult. The important thing is not what happens on the set, and the end result is that the viewer sees on the screen. —
Tell us about funny moments from filming.
Don’t know about funny, but the fact that our film was struck by the strange coincidences – that’s for sure. When we signed documents with the granddaughter of Edward Asadov Christine, I saw that we were born on the same day, month and year. It turns out, when Eduard Arkadyevich was glad to see granddaughter at the same moment I was born. Maybe it’s no coincidence that I came up with the idea of such a film. It may sound strange, but during the filming I felt his presence and approval. Asadov died in 2004 and in 2017 on the screens out a movie in which the characters speak in his poems. By the way, not everyone knows that Eduard Asadov – hero of the Soviet Union and during the war lost his eyesight. The film “I love you will, can you?” will be in two versions: normal – for cinema and TV and the second with titlecommercial (adaptation for the blind) and subtitles.

Where and how long the film was shot?
All filming took place in Moscow and Moscow region. We have worked quite quickly – I did for six months, although a little bit didn’t fit into the schedule, so some summer scenes finished in the fall. The actors went in summer clothes when the temperature is plus eight, and portrayed the feelings of each other. Have even started yellowing trees, but this was not a problem – corrector tint them green.—
Whatever advice you can give modern girls who dream to tie the knot?
If you are destined to get married, it will happen, but not to do the wedding of a life goal. Often in the pursuit of a wedding ring girls choose completely the wrong man in the satellites. Worse lack of love can only be a life with someone they have feelings.

The theme of the painting is relevant at all times. And you have such a life was that?
In the film several themes: love triangle, disappointment in love, frustrated expectations and the coveted offer of marriage. Each of us it was, and someone else will, and another thing – as we are about this. Someone of the girls after the men’s grievances closed in itself, somebody is urgently looking for a replacement, and I always have my warm, cozy area – creativity. Coco Chanel said it very well: “Even if you find yourself at the bottom of grief, if you don’t have anything, not a single living soul around – you always have a door that you can knock… It’s work!” —
Who owns a stunning ginger cat? Saw it on photos from the shoot…
We were looking for a location for the place of residence of the main characters. Stopped at a very beautiful outdoor space with low-rise houses in the residential complex “Western Kuntsevo”. There is easy to capture a wide stair passages, and we needed the apartment door, which includes the main characters (do the scenes we have already filmed elsewhere). In General, we called everybody and asked: “let me to her, but he opened the door, came in and immediately went out.” Cute couple Alexander and Arina not only went to meet us, but also invited guests, drink coffee and were treated to delicious pancakes. This is their cat, he not starred in movies, but his red-haired beauty struck our photographer Veronica, which he captured. —
However, in the film there are still animals…
We have filmed a wonderful dog Guidon. According to the script he was a dog hero of Mikhail politseymako. I don’t know what he didn’t like the actor, but he flatly refused to play with him. Then had to go to enter into the script the little lady of the Guidon. The girl arrived with my mother to see a movie, and she was in the frame. And so become “stars”.
