Margarita Mamun and Alexander Sukhorukov met four years ago at the Universiade in Kazan. Young people immediately fell in love with each other, but the family did not think — not before it. Margarita was the main goal — to win Olympic games in Rio de Jainero. And it happened! The girl won the gold in rhythmic gymnastics in the individual all-around, typing on the amount of exercises a record number of points. The swimmer was very worried for his beloved, because he knows firsthand how difficult and exciting to play the Games. He won Olympic silver in Beijing in 2008.

After Rio Alexander said that now nothing will interfere with their personal happiness. And in December last year at the Olympic ball Sukhorukov in the eyes of the amazed public suddenly got down on one knee, pulled out of his jacket a velvet box with a ring and asked Rita to be his wife. The girl did not expect such a turn of events, however, did not show it. Happily, but cautiously smiling, Mamun said the coveted “Yes!”
