At first, the information that the TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak could be a candidate for the presidency, was perceived as a joke.

Today this joke has suddenly become the truth – Sobchak will indeed participate in the presidential elections next year. In an open letter for publication “Vedomosti” Ksenia revealed the details of his decision: “I’m Ksenia Sobchak, I am 35 years old, all my life, I live and work in Russia, and I do not care what will become of my country. I am responsible for any action in the field of society, and, realizing the risks and the incredible complexity of this task, I decided that my participation in the presidential elections can indeed be a step towards much needed for our country to change”.

“Enough with the silence. For several months I think about it. And not because that’s the way the women all try on themselves, but because that’s the way I get everything I perceive as a challenge,” added the TV presenter.
