This summer, when he began massive layoffs presenters from the First channel, many assumed that Ivan Urgant can follow their example and leave his post. A little over a week ago, the network appeared the information that Ivan has made an important decision to leave the channel.

As it turned out, the rumors about the departure of stars from the First channel was launched by himself. His dismissal, or rather “not fired” was the main theme in the show “Evening Urgant”. On the eve aired the first episode of the programme, returning from a long summer vacation. The program began with a news in which it was announced that Urgant is not transferred to another channel: Ivan adopted the “scandalous decision” not to retire from the First channel followed by Andrey Malakhov.

It is worth noting that Ivan throughout the issue joked about the transition Malakhova for Russia-1. Urgant called the departure of Andrew “the great Exodus” and compared his counterpart with Moses. “The outcome, when Andrei Malakhov led a two leading. And this despite the fact that all Jews left the channel”, — said Ivan. Recall that together with Malakhov from the First channel left Alexander Oleshko and Timur Kizyakov.
