In the 80-ies Katya Semenova was one of the most popular singers of the Soviet Union. The investigation revealed that 60-70 concerts per month, but never did not suffer from star fever. Becoming the guest of the program “the Secret to a million,” the woman remembered about the difficult childhood and the death of close relatives.

“Dad died when I was six years old. Mom, when I was 11. She had cancer. She died a month after diagnosis, the disease has progressed very quickly. She had relatives in Israel and America. But she said that it is better to put me in any orphanage, not only to him. In the end, took me to his sister. She then worked three jobs, raised children, and endured her husband’s an alcoholic. I wanted to help in all possible ways, so I went to work as a cleaner,” recalls Catherine.

The star admitted that he saw the body of his mother after opening. It is so shocked a future singer that she was paralyzed half of the body. Within a few months Semenova taking antidepressants and trying to cope with grief.

The artist has always been close with my sister, which tried to help in everything. That’s why, when Semenov was diagnosed cousin, it was a real blow.

“My sister had breast cancer. She refused to go to the hospital, ran through the wizards. She believed that he would die on the same day and in the same age as the mother. Planned on dying the 13th of September. Waking up to the 14th, she went crazy. Literally became dumb. After that she lived another two years”, – said the artist.

She Semenov also faced with a serious illness. Almost half a year a young woman was treated for bilateral tuberculosis. Almost all the time she spent in the hospital. Many years later, the star again had to face problems with health. However, this time, the troubled singer was guilty of her first husband, Andrew Buchanan.

“About infidelity I found out after I left him. The last straw was that I several times caught him with a venereal disease. I thought it was a simple inflammation, but then the doctors opened my eyes,” said Catherine.
